This tour will take you on a journey to the southern part of Arizona where we will visit three of the top attractions in the Tucson area; The Mission San Xavier Del Bac, The Sonora Desert Museum, and Saguaro National Park.
The mission is situated in the Santa Cruz Valley nine miles south of Tucson, Arizona. It was built built from 1783 - 1797 by the Franciscan Fathers Juan Bautista Velderrain and Juan Bautista Llorenz. Many claim it to be the finest example of mission architecture in the United States. Very little is known about the construction of the mission but it is a beautiful blend of Moorish, Byzantine and late Mexican Renaissance architecture. One of the biggest mysteries is why the tower on the right was never completed.
The Sonora Desert museum, a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden. Exhibits re-create the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert region so realistically you find yourself eye-to-eye with mountain lions, prairie dogs, gila monsters, and more. Within the Museum grounds, you will see more than 300 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants.
Saguaro National Park is home of the giant saguaro cacti. A fabulous orientation program offering a Native American perspective on the Saguaro cactus will be a highlight of this stop.

*We pick up passengers at most hotels in Phoenix and Scottsdale at approximately 7:00-8:00am.
